The best thing about my job is being able to see the realisations of my designs in real life.

On board since September 2019

How did you find your way to BEP Europe?

I already knew BEP Europe, as my father works here as well. During my studies, I came here for a company visit and I was given a full tour of the premises for the first time. For my final paper in sixth grade, I developed a roll test bench for small radio-controlled cars. For that assignment, BEP Europe colleagues assisted me on several occasions by providing information and materials.

What did you study?

During high school at the VTI in Bruges, I took electromechanics, where I learned about mechanical and electronic technology. After that, I completed a professional bachelor’s degree in electromechanics at the VIVES college in Bruges. This campus is just 1.8 km away from BEP Europe.

What do you like most about your job?

The best thing about my job is when I can see the results of my designs in real-life after they have been finished by the engineering department. Seeing the machines being built up gives me enormous satisfaction, especially when everything runs smoothly during production and assembly. Seeing pictures of the fully functional machines at the customer’s site is the cherry on top.
