PLC automation engineer

As a PLC automation engineer, you will programme the PLCs and drives of a specific project and configure the I/Os, network and cobots/robots. You take into account the customer specifications and perform I/O and functional tests before the machine is delivered. You also take care of the machine start-up at the customer site and coordinate the communication between the PLC and other systems at the customer site. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and re-establishing optimal functioning of installed machines at the customer site.

  • Industrial engineer or equivalent through minimum five years of relevant professional experience 
  • Sociable and communicative

  • Good knowledge of PLC controls 
  • Expert knowledge of PLC programming, preferably Siemens S7 or TIA 
  • Knowledge of 'Rockwell' or 'Allen-Bradley' as second preference 
  • Knowledge of Siemens SIMOTION programming is an asset 
  • Knowledge of robot/cobot programming is a plus 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Basic knowledge of French
  • Knowledge of Dutch is desirable, but no absolute requirement 
  • Knowledge of German or Spanish is an asset
  • Available for relocations abroad with approximately one relocation per month, one relocation lasts approximately one week
