- Setting up and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work plans
- Determining milling strategy, machining sequence, and clamping methods
- Selecting and assembling appropriate cutting tools
- Programming the machine (Heidenhain control)
- Performing various milling operations (face milling, deep milling, slot milling, etc.)
- Deburring, tapping, and inspecting finished parts
- Using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and angle meters
- Performing daily and weekly maintenance on the machine
- Providing feedback to work preparation
- Complying with safety regulations and maintaining a clean workstation
- Checking the quality of produced parts
- Reporting deviations or malfunctions to the team leader
- A2 diploma in mechanics or equivalent through experience
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and materials (aluminium, steel, stainless steel, and plastics)
- Experience with conventional milling is a plus
- Familiarity with Heidenhain controls is an asset
- Technical insight and precision (ability to read technical drawings!)
- Knowledge of measuring instruments (caliper, tape measure, micrometer, etc.)
- A team player with a hands-on mentality
