Our Propulsion department focuses on test benches for transmission and for electric motors. It also actively pursues new opportunities in the automotive industry, such as battery technology and fuel cells for electric vehicles.
Integrated noise and vibration analyses determine the quality of transmissions and electric motors at the end of the assembly line. The high speeds (up to 30,000 rpm), high torques (> 5,000 Nm) and large electrical powers (> 500 kW) are the main challenges for the robust mechanical engineering in this specific area. The automation of the test benches as part of the automated assembly line at the customer sites requires a technical solution of the highest level.
