BEP Europe is one of the leading players in the market of end-of-line test machines for the automotive industry. The European headquarters are located in Bruges, where we carry out the project from start to finish: from the technical offer to construction with start-up both in Bruges and at the customer site. Developments around autonomous driving and renewable fuels take center stage today. BEP Europe is and remains the competence center in Europe for the development and construction of EOL and propulsion test machines.
Burke Porter Group is founded with BEP Europe Bruges as its European headquarters.
The first advanced driver assistance systems machine is produced.
Development of the headlight aiming system machine by two internship students in electromechanics at Howest. One of these two intern students is still working at BEP Europe.
First major automotive project for Fabricom: the production of a six-roll bench for Opel Antwerp.
Production of nut insertion machines for the production of chocolate bonbons with nuts.
Production of a machine for safety pane composition. The machine has a capacity of 200,000 panes per year.
After 32 years, Fabricom becomes BEP Europe NV.
Acquisition by family-owned Burke E. Porter Machinery of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the United States. Full focus will be mainly on the automotive market.
First non-contact wheel alignment machine for Renault Batilly.
Renewal of packaging machines for manufactured chocolate products such as Melocakes, LEO and OLÉ, among others.
Production of a machine for cutting, collecting and packaging playing cards for Cartamundi Turnhout.
Production of the first driver vehicle test (DVT) machine. This is a general vehicle testing machine.
Production of ABB robot. This is the first automotive project for GM in Antwerp.
FN Bruges becomes Fabricom. The business focus is on automation and mechanical engineering for industry.
Establishment of FN Bruges. Licensed weapons as well as vehicles for the Belgian army are produced.
